I'm starting this new blog to share my journey, organize things and to have a little fun with it. Truth is, I'm nearly finished with the planning. The big day is rapidly approaching. That said, I still look forward to sharing with whomever is interested (probably mostly my family) in the creating of the big event.
For those of you who are not family, I'll give a very brief history of our family make-up:
My name is Patti. I'm a Christian who was born a Catholic, raised a Methodist and married a Jewish man named Matthew. We have two amazing sons, Jacob and Benjamin who are being raised in the Jewish faith and traditions. This blog is about Jacob's upcoming Bar Mitzvah. I've only attended a handful of Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, so planning one for my own son has been a ride to say the least.
Jacob is an "Old Soul" and has been since birth. It's no surprise that his "theme" centers around nature. Specifically, the woods and all it's natural beauty. From the moss on the ground to the ferns and the trees, the colors of the forest are the inspiration for the invitations and the decorations.
